You can fit 18” wheels on the Focus RS! They are offered as a winter tire package. Too bad you can’t get 18” wheels with summer tires too. They should have a winter package that includes the winter tires and heated seats/mirrors/steering wheel. Heated seats are awesome, but not worth paying for nav too.

Yeah, clearly the best option is to wait until Tire Rack and other places figure out some wheel fitments. I’m just glad to know that you can put 18” wheels on it. It would be even better if you could 17” or even 16” wheels on it. BRING BACK ALL THE SIDEWALLS!!!!!

Yes, but at least we know 18” wheels will fit on it.

One of the salesmen at the local dealer told me he is trying to get one in there. He wants me to trade in my STi. I told him I’d take a test drive but have no intentions of trading in my car.

Haha I love in when dealers are like “we’re always looking for “x” cars for our inventory”...Nah you’re just looking to sell a new car, lets not beat around the bush.

If you act serious enough you might score a test drive!

Well the brake rotors in front are only 13.5” I’d be willing to bet that a 17” wheel bolts over it. Tight but would fit. The brembo calipers are rather low profile. My focus st is a 2013 with 12.6” front brakes and I fit 16” steel wheels over them just fine. I'm surprised anyone thought it wouldn't fit TBH.

despite peoples complaints it’s actually not a bad deal, those are 220$ tires, OEM wheels aren’t cheap and you know they have TPMS sensors, so good luck to anyone hoping to buy an equivelent combo for less

It is the salesman who sold us my wife’s Escape, and I was talking to him in person. If they actually get one and allow test drives I’m sure I could get one even after flat out telling him I don’t intend to buy it. He knows I have an 07 STi, so he knows I would be interested in an RS.

Why spend OEM prices on wheels that will get trashed in winter driving? You won’t buy an equivalent combo for less, but there is no reason to run expensive OEM wheels for winter. You are better off buying a cheap set of wheels since they will get trashed anyway. There are also a lot of other performance winter tires, most of which are much cheaper than $250/each.

A quick look at Tire Rack says I can get an 18”x8” wheel starting around $140, winter tires starting at $150, throw in another $30/wheel for Ford TPMS sensors and you’ve got a good winter package for around $1300. So yeah, you can easily come up with a good winter tire and wheel combo for much less than the Ford package.

If the seat is Alcantara you can get away without seat heaters. My STi isn’t bad at all in the winter. They aren’t worth it if you have to spend a boatload extra because they come with navigation that will be always out of date and that you’ll never use.

Cheap wheels have a tendency to have the finish fall off and the wheels themselves bend. Cheap tires will be more compliant and noisy.

If you want to put cheap wheels and tires on your expensive new car that’s your prerogative.

For winter I don’t care if the finish goes to shit. I’ve got OEM wheels on my truck that I run year round and they are trashed from winter driving. Normal, legal driving won’t bend a wheel. As for cheap tires, you can get Blizzak’s, Dunlop Wintersports and several other excellent winter tires for $200 or less.

If the finish is damaged and they’re newer you can probably get them replaced.

You can get WS blizzaks that cheap, but not LM’s which would be the equivalent to those alpins, those cost almost exactly the same.

18” are race size. Had a internet salesman send me an email when these start showing up in their inventory (knowing that they won’t considering the limited run they are on).
